He has recently completed "The Remnant: On Burning Wings - To a Displaced Persons Camp, and Beyond" which addresses the experiences of the largest group of Polish Jews to survive World War II - by fleeing or being deported to the Soviet Union. His 2013 book "Hurdles - When Cancer Strikes a Family" tells of his late wife's battle with cancer and the family's struggle to cope with it. His book "Shards of War: Fleeing To & From Uzbekistan," has received acclaim from a number of academicians, was reviewed in an international journal, and appeared for a number of months in 2011 on the list of best-selling ebooks in Europe. He has edited and published his late wife's book, "Grit-A Pediatrician's Odyssey From a Soviet Camp to Harvard."
After retiring in 2006, he engaged in writing of his experiences during World War II. Kesler, Ph.D., a chemical engineering graduate of MIT and New York University, worked and consulted for the petroleum industry.
